International Coalition for Responsible Tourism, a new tool to support responsible tourism programs & projects in developing countries
The International Coalition for Responsible Tourism has launched a new website on August 1st (www.coalition-tourism-responsable.org).
While the organization of the World Responsible Tourism Day every June 2nd in Paris and around the world continues with success, the French international NGO has established a new division named "International Projects ".
This initiative aims to support technically and financially the development, implementation and monitoring of responsible tourism projects aimed at:
- Local economic and social development and the fight against poverty;
- Preservation of the environment and natural / cultural heritage;
- Structuring and professionalization of main players and actor networks invested in the development of responsible tourism.
Several pilot projects are already underway, particularly in Senegal and Tunisia each one to support the organization of a national responsible tourism forum to bring together various stakeholders and to launch the structuring of a national organization capable of meeting the expectations of professionals and other project national.
Subsequently, the International Coalition for Responsible Tourism will provide technical and financial support to operational projects carried by its international active members.
As part of a strong partnership, the International Coalition for Responsible Tourism, member of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Tourism, appeals to the French and international institutions, communities, foundations and all organizations that share its values, to help support and implementation of these initiatives and responsible tourism projects.
