Looking for a Job in ecotourism (worlwide)
Hello all,
I am spanish student just graduated in Tourism and looking for some experience in the ecotourism, I find myself very committed to the pursuit of social and environment welfare and justice and understand Tourism not only as a way to see the world but also as a way to change it, that is why I would like to focus my career in the green tourism. I also was born in a small island, isolated and fragile, that needs a precise development in ecotourism rather than mass tourism. I am very excited about future opportunities in the area of Ecotourism.
Although my experience in the Hotel Industry is quite wide, working in England and Spain hotels several times, my only experience in the eco-green Tourism is a 6-month internship in organics farms in Germany.. Because of my short experience in ecotourism, I wouldn’t mind doing a few months internship or a trial period that would provide me with the experience and knowledge necessary in order to focus my career in the Ecotourism. I have enclosed a copy of my resume.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Regards,
Romen

My name is Suzanne van der Veeken and I am a young Dutch native looking for a challenging job that meets my qualifications, competences and passion.
I have an educational background in Tourism Destination Management (Master) and Commerce (Bachelor). My curiosity about different cultures and destinations have taken me around the globe. I lead a case study in the Kingdom of Tonga. Publication of my work is proceeding.
My international work experience has left me with incredible courage, strong inter personal skills, global knowledge about the tourism industry and an ongoing growing cross- cultural sensitivity and adaptive capacity. I am fluent in Dutch and English, intermediate in French, German and I’m rapidly improving my Spanish language skills. On a personal level, I am open-minded, creative, enthusiastic, sportive and adventurous.

Hi! My name is Jen Munn. I am searching for an opportunity to support the mission of any eco-tourism organization that is involved with a restoration ecology project anywhere in the world. My services could include any combination of administrative, outreach, or public relations.

MSc ecotourism + MBA Tourism management & communications looking for experience!
Subject :MSc ecotourism + MBA Tourism management & communications looking for experience!
I recently completed with distinction a MSc in Ecotourism (School of Life Sciences, Edinburgh Napier University, UK) with a strong emphasis on environmental management, naturalist and conservation skills. I would now be very keen on gaining more experience in conservation, ecotourism, community-based projects
and more! I have excellent conservation and naturalist skills in various environments (the UK and Caribbean plus I will be a certified New York State naturalist with Cornell at the end of September). I participated in numerous conservation tasks, such as surveys of seabirds, insects and plants, research on populations of long- spined sea urchins (Diadema antillarum) in the Caribbean, invasive plant control and trail maintenance in preserves. In addition to this, I worked successfully as a freelance consultant on tourism and conservation issues; I delivered a consultancy work aiming at improving the legal protection of seals against culling in Scotland (Scottish Marine Bill) by showing their economic value for the Scottish tourism industry, I helped amending and improving best practices guidelines for a tour-operator association (Wild Scotland) and I developed a press kit to advertise Yemen as a nature destination for British tourists at the World Travel Market in 2009. I also have experience in tour design and sales for tour-operators specialized in adventure and leisure activities in a wide variety of destinations (e.g. North Africa, France, the Himalayas, North America, and Europe in general), which allowed me to develop excellent skills in time management, coordination, pricing, marketing and sales. Moreover, I developed strong communication skills during my studies and through internships, consultancy and volunteer works. I wrote scientific papers on many occasions (thesis, report on sea urchins, briefing paper on a climate change issue), lead guided tours, gave presentations (e.g. Urban avifauna) and conducted interviews, and I also wrote a wide variety of creative and technical documents such as tour descriptions, a small exhibit for Judy's Day at Cornell Plantations, a press kit and press releases, recruitment adverts, scientific research works, a newsletter and book review. I am also proficient with Indesign, Photoshop, website updating and social media (Facebook etc.). In addition to this, I gained excellent organizational skills while working within two major British organizations (Forestry Commission, University of Edinburgh) in HR and accommodation management. I proved to be highly reliable with a great attention to details while sifting hundreds of applications, writing employment contracts, handling sensitive information, processing weekly salaries (50 to 200 staff), reporting laundry incomes, and coordinating meetings, trainings and interviews. This required prioritizing my workload according to urgency and importance, liaising intensively with various audiences, communicating and working efficiently with my colleagues, as well as a high degree of autonomy. Lastly, I am passionate about the natural environment and am a creative and dynamic person who enjoys learning and tackling new challenges. I also speak fluent French, English and Spanish plus have
basic skills in Mandarin. |

MSc Responsible Tourism Graduate seeks position (paid/unpaid)
I have recently ended a 12 year career in global mobility and am looking to enter the responsible/sustainable tourism field.
I have an MSc in Responsible Tourism Management, which was supervised by Professor Harold Goodwin, Director of the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT) and my dissertation, which looked at the success factors of community based tourism, was undertaken in conjunction with the ICRT and partly funded by GTZ, a German development agency.
I also have a BSc in Environmental Conservation and my disseration looked at the role ecotourism plays in conservation and development in the south.
I am looking to establish a career in the responsible/sustainable tourism field and believe that the skills I have attained during my working life, coupled with the knowledge and skills attained whilst undertaking both my degrees, will allow me to do this if provided with a suitable opportunity.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and my CV and if you have any queries, or indeed any opportunities for which I would be suitable, please do no hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks.

MSc. Responsible Tourism Management Graduate with Research Experience
To whom it may concern;
I have been employed as a Research Assistant on numerous projects for the ICRT and for Simon Woodward Associates in the UK. In each position my required duties have varied and are not limited to research, creating, conducting, and analyzing surveys, writing briefs, proposals and best practice reviews, and conducting site inspections based on the triple bottom line.
In all roles I had to adhere to time constraints, and participate in multi stakeholder meetings with various professionals. The work experience I have gained has been exceptionally helpful in showing me how to adapt the triple bottom line of economic, environmental, and social sustainability into real world contexts. Although I am grateful for these experiences and the value they have added to my life I am eager to gain more work experience either within North America or abroad.
Although I am currently employed I am looking for a position that is more in line with my education and work experience. I would be more than happy to make myself available to you at your earliest convenience and will provide references upon request. I thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Mgmt graduate seeking for a job in adventure or nature-based tourism
Subject :Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Mgmt graduate seeking for a job in adventure or nature-based tourism
To whom it may concern,
I am a hard working person, well organized, responsible, problem solver and world traveler looking for a job in ecotourism, adventure tourism, voluntarism or sustainable tourism.
This May, I will be graduating from Johnson and Wales University as an Honors student, with my degree in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management and a concentration in sports, adventure and nature-based tourism.
For the past 2 years I have enjoyed the outdoors and backpacking trips into the wilderness, and I have realized that this is not only my passion, but also my main interest area in tourism, where I want to specialize.
I happen to speak two languages fluently, Spanish and English. I have good leaderships skills which I further developed by working for a summer camp this past summer in Cape Town, South Africa. Also, in this camp I learned how to work within a team structure by planning and leading exercises and games to high school children with other camp leaders. In addition, I have broad understanding of the importance of responsible travel in order to preserve our natural environment and a local culture. I support sustainable tourism by understanding the negative consequences of tourism and I am committed to minimize them and encourage others too.
Also, I am currently finishing an internship with Eco Adventures Miami-Dade Parks in which I had the opportunity to learn the logistics of running an eco tour as well as to enrich my knowledge about nature, wildlife and environmental issues that are affecting our planet.
My enclosed resume further details my work experience and academic history. I am currently very flexible and can be available at short notice.
I feel confident that an interview would demonstrate my enthusiasm and abilities. I look forward to meeting you.
Thank you for considering me.
Sincerely,
Rosario Chercoles |
