Subject :Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Mgmt graduate seeking for a job in adventure or nature-based tourism
To whom it may concern,
I am a hard working person, well organized, responsible, problem solver and world traveler looking for a job in ecotourism, adventure tourism, voluntarism or sustainable tourism.
This May, I will be graduating from Johnson and Wales University as an Honors student, with my degree in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management and a concentration in sports, adventure and nature-based tourism.
For the past 2 years I have enjoyed the outdoors and backpacking trips into the wilderness, and I have realized that this is not only my passion, but also my main interest area in tourism, where I want to specialize.
I happen to speak two languages fluently, Spanish and English. I have good leaderships skills which I further developed by working for a summer camp this past summer in Cape Town, South Africa. Also, in this camp I learned how to work within a team structure by planning and leading exercises and games to high school children with other camp leaders. In addition, I have broad understanding of the importance of responsible travel in order to preserve our natural environment and a local culture. I support sustainable tourism by understanding the negative consequences of tourism and I am committed to minimize them and encourage others too.
Also, I am currently finishing an internship with Eco Adventures Miami-Dade Parks in which I had the opportunity to learn the logistics of running an eco tour as well as to enrich my knowledge about nature, wildlife and environmental issues that are affecting our planet.
My enclosed resume further details my work experience and academic history. I am currently very flexible and can be available at short notice.
I feel confident that an interview would demonstrate my enthusiasm and abilities. I look forward to meeting you.
Thank you for considering me.
Sincerely,
Rosario Chercoles
