Your Host JoLoyce Kaia. JoLoyce was transplanted 30+ yrs. ago from Washington State. She oversees the Vacation Rentals & Botanical Gardens here on the farm & also at Volcano Heart Chalet on the Big Island of Hawaii. She has been active in Conservation for 20+ yrs. JoLoyce is currently Chair for the Hana Soil & Water District & V.P. for Maui in the State and is a member of the Hawaii Ecotourism Association.

As JoLoyce says: "We started out in tents 25 yrs. ago with 6 of 8 children. Memories could write a book. We started with the natural vegetation which included most of the Polynesian introduced plants and over the years we have added other tropical flowers & fruits. We are doing an Educational Grant that is eliminating Noxious Weeds and replanting Hawaiian natives, the plants that were here before any man arrived. Many are endangered. Guests are welcome to walk the Gardens when staying here."

Important Note: Those who are looking for a rustic, relaxing experience close to nature and who appreciate the ability to pick their own fresh fruit from the tropical garden and cook their own meals, will truly appreciate this place.
