Here is an update on the latest situation regarding the flooding and weather conditions around Thailand.

Currently there is no disruption to the main airport in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Phuket Airport. Bangkok's main international airport which has fortified its flood walls as an extra precaution. Phuket airport is fully operational.
Here in the south and on the beautiful Andaman Coast we have not had any floods and in the last 2 weeks we have had wonderful, sunny and warm weather conditions.

As you all know Thailand has been experiencing some of the worst rains and floods in years and the north of the country has been badly affected, including the ancient city of Ayutthaya. However the water level is reducing slowly and it has been estimated that it will take two-three weeks for the situation to improve. All trains from Bangkok to the north of Thailand are cancelled until further notice.

Some suburbs on the far north outskirts of Bangkok have also been flooded, but so far the city centre hasn't been affected.

We'll do our best to keep you informed of any changes regarding this situation. We hope to see you soon in Thailand.

Sincerely,

Andaman Discoveries Team
