1st International Conference on Climate Change and Tourism. The impacts at tourism destinations and adaptation to the changing conditions
Djerba, Tunisia, 9-11 April 2003. This is the first international conference specifically addressing the relationships between tourism and climate change. By convening this event, the World Tourism Organization aims primarily at developing awareness among tourism administrations, companies and other stakeholders about the climate change issue and defining a preliminary agenda of action for further research and the application of adaptive management techniques.
