Academics are complaining that Ecotourism has not / can not be clearly defined. Have a go! Ecotourism to me is an alternative in contrast to that of mass
or mainstream tourism; which could be described a low key, minimal impact,
interpretative tourism that combines conservation with the provision of unique
opportunity of experiential understanding of differing lifestyles and
nature. Ecotourism to me equals responsible tourism where travelers
explore areas that are environmentally and culturally threatened due to
increased tourism or the effects of globalization, meet with the local
inhabitants to better understand the practices, beliefs and traditions endemic
to their cultural survival, and participate in sustainable projects to help
preserve the culture and environment in which these people live. Ecotourism for me is the way of living naturally to maintain
the long harmonious existing relationship between men and nature, to understand
