Chernozem - "Black Earth"

The disaster site was Chernobyl, no introductions needed, and the "linguistically, phonetically and geographically close" term is Chernozem a term that means "black earth" in Russian and used in the science of Ecology to denote a "freely draining soil". Because of their richness in plant nutrients chernozems are among the most agriculturally productive soils in the world.
