7th EDITION OF THE WORLD RESPONSIBLE TOURISM DAY

 

World Tourism Day 2012

International Coalition for Responsible Tourism

reveals the theme of the 2013 edition

 

On the occasion of World Tourism Day 2012, an event created by the World Tourism Organization UNWTO and celebrated every year on September 27^th, the International Coalition for Responsible Tourism (IcoReT) announces the 7^th World Responsible Tourism Day major event which will be held on Monday 3^rd June in 2013 at the Chamber of the Ile-de-France regional Council in Paris (France).

 

The theme of the 7^th meeting for Responsible Tourism stakeholders will be:

 

ISLAND DESTINATIONS, SUSTAINABLE TOURISM LABORATORIES?

 

This day will be relayed around the world by many tourism stakeholders.

A destination will be invited in Paris to debate during a roundtable discussion in the afternoon with different scientific experts, professionals, NGOs and institutions.

 

The International Coalition for Responsible Tourism has also established a new department "International Projects" with action projects in Madagascar, Tunisia and Senegal. The objective of this department is to support technically and financially the development, the implementation and the monitoring of responsible tourism projects, especially to gather local stakeholders in a national network.
