All interns are responsible for their own travel and any other expenses associated with the internship. Internships are unpaid. Educational credits are offered where available.
Our internships focus on one or more of the following areas: event planning, education, research, marketing and communications.
Internship Requirements
All interns must be able to work independently and to take initiative; develop and implement creative ideas and solutions; and accommodate flexible work schedules.
Very strong time management skills are required, especially for virtual internship positions.
We expect individual interns to have the skills and capacity to add value to the organization without requiring handholding.

Research & Communications Intern
The Intern will contribute to tasks related to product development, supplier management, research for publications, and Colombia Savvy Blog. We are seeking those with excellent writing and editing skills and excellent professional communication skills (online and off-line), as well as familiarity with major social media channels. Basic knowledge of web editing and content management tools is a plus.
Marketing Intern
This position assists with marketing and PR related tasks. Tasks include: Media outreach; Media and promotional partnership; Social network marketing. We are seeking those with excellent writing and editing skills and excellent professional communication skills (online and off-line), as well as familiarity with major social media channels. Basic knowledge of web editing and content management tools is a plus.
Social Media Intern
We are seeking a Social Media Intern to help spread the word about Colombia Eco Travel and our work through various social media channels. The Social Media Intern will help the team identify publicity opportunities, promote and enhance online presence and increase opportunities to engage members via social media platforms. We are looking for someone who can commit to at least two business days per week. Required skills include: previous professional experience with blogging, familiarity with major social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Previous experience in social media marketing, PR or advertising would be a plus
