Luwawa environmental Trust is operated by the lodge management. The trust is a co partner with local villages in helping local people with sustainable management of the indigenous forests. Management of Luwawa Dam is on a sustainable use basis. Environmental education courses are run by the lodge for local and international schools. Bird watching courses, Indigenous tree planting, bee keeping, Environmental educational way marked walking trails.
