Eumelia thus became the second Rated Ecolodge in Greece and one of 21 rated ecolodges worldwide. Eumelia consists of five traditional cottages within a 20-hectare family estate, an ancient olive grove half an hour from the historic city of Sparta. Learn all about sustainable living and homeodynamic agriculture, water recycling, heating and cooling with geothermal power. The Ecolodge offers yoga, photography and cooking seminars as well as educational programs for children. Accommodations have been carefully planned to facilitate disabled access while Eumelia is also pet-friendly. Eumelia means melody in ancient Greek and appropriately a live-music festival takes place on site every June. Currently the farm is preparing for the olive harvest in late November.
