'Rosia Montana Mining Landscape', a Roman-era gold mine region, has been recognised as a World Heritage Site in Danger to the relief of environmentalists who oppose government plans to allow a Canadian mining company to resume mining in the area. Romania's president Iohannis welcomed the decision.
