Australia: Tasmania opens electric highway fast-charging network

Description

The Electric Highway Tasmania (EHT) network consists of twelve 50kw and two ultra-rapid charging stations and costed over AUD 525m (EUR 340m). EHT's Clive Attwater stressed that the development fostered green tourism and enabled car rental companies to offer electric vehicles and pointed out that Tasmania is 100% self-sufficient in renewable energy.
