Real estate investments have been excluded, with golden visa seekers encouraged to turn to investing via approved funds in cultural and scientific research projects. If it succeeds it could be emulated in other golden visa selling countries. But all this "investment" talk, be it realty or culture, isn't it more or less about sugarcoating (for local chauvinists) a transaction between rich foreigners from poor (or poor-administered, failed, autocratic) lands and a (typically western) government selling travel documents?
