Following an altercation between taxi owners and Uber drivers outside the city of Rhodes, enraged taxi drivers protesting about unfair competition damaged a number of cars outside Uber's offices in Rhodes. According to Greek laws only licensed taxi drivers can work as Uber associates however taxi driver unions, including Attica's powerful SATA taxi union talk of a 'scandalous' state of affairs since the current conservative government came into power in 2019, and call for an official investigation of Uber's practices.
