Added 2023-11-01

Description

A new Ministry of Economy bill will limit to two the number of properties individuals may operate as a short-term rental before being treated as a tourist business, applies a tax of Euros 1.5 per night per rental, and a local authority tax of 0.5% of total revenue per annum. It will also limit each stay to 60 days maximum. In addition, in an effort to limit the conversion of whole inner city apartment blocks to short-term rentals, such projects will need to obtain a hotel license and meet all relevant tax obligations and regulations.
