Governor joins long list of critics who argue that a revamp and expansion of Lihue Airport goes against the 2018 Kauai General Plan which tries to limit tourism development. Kauai's Mayor also criticized the Hawaii's Department of Transportation, which would fund the expansion, as always striving to increase revenue from airports.
