Hundreds of Indigenous (Adivasi) people from Protected Areas across India join forces in a march 'Padayatra' followed by indefinite protest outside the Nagarhole Tiger Reserve offices in southwest India, against the seizing of their lands to create Protected Areas, including tiger reserves. Caroline Pearce, Director of Survival International blamed the 'colonial and militarized model of conservation practised in India and elsewhere'.
