"A really great place to kick back, relax, and have all your needs taken care of. This is an easy place to take tours from so you can easily go to the volcanos and hikes from there. The people who run the lodge are terrific and helpful and the food is good as well." - March 2017
"Cynthia and her staff bent over backwards to prepare tasty meals and help us get around to see the wonders of the area. Cynthia herself is a very interesting person and attracts other guests that were a great pleasure to interact with. We particularly liked having fresh air coming into our cottage on all four sides and being able to watch the baby howler monkeys cavort while we sat on our deck. Beautiful, peaceful place and a great way to beat the heat of the rest of Nicaragua. it was great to have fresh delicious coffee delivered to our cottage every morning before breakfast." - March 2017
"Mombacho lodge is not a place for everyone! it's off the beaten path and thankfully so! if you have an interest in nature and want solitude this is the place for you! and there's no wifi so you might actually have to put down your smart phone and interact with others or even read a book! great food! incredible wild life! awesome photo op! howler monkey's straight out of central casting waking you in the morn! coffee in the a.m. delivered to your cabin! awesome night hike! great cloud forest but lodges trails even just as good! salmon hash! cold toña beer! what more can i say! if you like cities stay there! but if you want nature this is the place!" - February 2017
