Hi,
I work with a handful good people on this new booking engine http://www.iloveecohotels.com (this is a landing site, the engine will be up and running end October) All new, we build the machine from scratch. Have a look at this landing site, there are two good videos that will explain how and why we do it.

Can you recommend accommodation facilities that we should contact and / or do you know a good distribution channel where we can tell about our good site.

Look forward to hear from all of you

We just stayed at a very simple hotel in Cebu, Philippines called the West Gorordo Hotel. It is in a prime location and looks at the hotel experience from the holistic approach. They definitely are not a Ritz Carlton or Marriott, but it is a quality, locally owned and operated.

I hope this helps.

Thanks. Will have look.
We are looking for small hotels like the one you mention, as well as small hotel groups like this one : http://www.guldsmedenhotels.com and larger chains like http://www.scandic.com
As long as they are sustainable.

Hi Niels,

what a great initiative! I would suggest that you look at winners and finalists from different responsible and sustainable tourism Awards programmes. There are quite a few competitions out there, but here are just a few that can source you some great examples of accommodation providers
Tourism for Tomorrow Awards - I know I am biased as I look after these :)
World Responsible Tourism Awards
Wild Asia Responsible Tourism Awards

Have a look on the web for other local competitions.

You could also look at Facebook and LinkedIn Groups dedicated to responsible/sustainable tourism, and see if anyone is interested in listing their property. The biggest groups on facebook seem to be: https://www.facebook.com/groups/rtnetworking/ and https://www.facebook.com/groups/RTPractitioners/.

I hope above info is helpful. Best of luck with your project!

You should check out Sazani Beach Lodge in Zanzibar, Tanzania: http://sazanibeach.com This lodge is small with local staff, sources its food locally and uses solar power and is linked to the NGO Sazani Associates.
