Flights from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to Jaffna, in north Sri Lanka will resume after a 3 year break, in an effort to boost Sri Lanka's ailing tourism sector, heavily hit from the pandemic.  It will be welcomed by Tamils living in the Jaffna peninsula, which was particularly affected during the civil war (1973-2009).
