Citing environmental and health reasons, as well as a waste of gas, President Berdimuhamedov instructed scientists to find a way to extinguish the flames of the famous burning gas crater, a popular tourism attraction in the middle of the Karakum Desert, known as 'The Gates of Hell'. Unique living bacteria have been found at the bottom of the crater.
