UNDP Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) are implementing an innovative community-based tourism and conservation initiative in Banishanta, in the Sundarbans, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Beyond accommodation, the project offers boat ecotours, tourist meals using community organic produce, local handicrafts and dance performances.
