Nestled around a natural spring and ravine dense with vegetation, this site on the semi-barren Cycladic island of Paros is a true idyllic oasis. During the summer months, this peaceful reserve becomes famous for attracting large numbers of Euplagia quadripunctaria (Jersey Tiger) butterflies, who gather here for their mating season, resting on the leaves, bark, and stones.

Well-marked paths wind through the reserve, leading visitors past a fascinating Byzantine-era watermill. Along the way, visitors can observe 500-year old cypress trees, key native plants and learn from information displays.

More than just a natural retreat, this family-friendly attraction (entry free for children under 12) also offers visitor amenities, including a traditional open-air cafe, a souvenir shop, and a small playground, making it an educational venue for all ages.
