Greece: Elefsina: Old Olive Oil Mill to be transformed into a Museum

The Ministry of Culture aims to house the particularly large number of finds from the excavations of the famous Eleusis Sanctuary of Demeter and Kore and from the rescue excavations that are continuously carried out in the city. The site, south of the archaeological site, previously housed a Soap Factory, the first factory established in Eleusis in 1875. The property then become the property of the National Bank which sold it to the Ministry in 2022, for EUR 5m euros.
