Founded in 1979 by Greek journalist Yannis Andricopoulos and American psychotherapist Dina Glouberman, Skyros Center is recognized as a global pioneer of the "holistic holiday". The original Skyros Centre is an intimate community hub within the old Skyros town, housing guests in traditional nearby homes. Following its massive success, a second centre launched in 1984 in Atsitsa Bay as an outdoor, eco-friendly beach community where you can stay in rustic eco-huts in lush gardens by the sea or in Atsitsa's stone house and also engage in both creative and marine-based activities.
