Athens, Greece - 13 April 2010

Under the theme "Ecosocial Justice Through Tourism" the 7th annual ECOCLUB.com Awards are currently open. ECOCLUB.com aims to provide micro-grants to tourism-related projects implemented by its Members, that help rectify ecological and social injustices at the community level. A total of Euros 6,000 (approx USD 8,100) will be equally shared by three projects.

ECOCLUB.com particularly encourages project proposals from 'developing' countries, which provide tangible results, have a strong social element and a lasting impact.The ultimate deadline to submit a project is June 25, 2010 however interested Members are advised to apply as soon as possible. The three winners will be chosen in a democratic fashion by Member vote in July 2010, and the winning projects should be implemented by December 1, 2010. As every year, the implementation process will be documented online with photos & videos. True to its philosophy ECOCLUB.com allocates over 40% of 2009 Membership proceeds so as to fund change at the grassroots level through its annual Awards.
