US: Largest International Dark Sky Reserve created in western Texas and northern Mexico

Description

The newly certified Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve will cover around 36,500 square kilometres in western Texas and northern Mexico, thanks to a partnership between the International Dark-Sky Association, the McDonald Observatory of the University of Texas at Austin, The Nature Conservancy, the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas in Mexico and other organizations.
