Description
The new 95-acre fossil park showcases 200 million year old fossils, and features a museum, auditorium, study area and laboratory. Private vehicles are not allowed and transport is conducted by battery-operated auto-rickshaws. The park had been announced over 20 years ago, when the fossils were at the mercy of stone miners who crushed the rocks for road construction, causing dust pollution and impacting the Ganga river.
