The National Center for Wildlife (NCW), in collaboration with the Saudi Water Sports and Diving Federation have authorized shark cage diving at the Ras Hatiba Reserve, a newly designated protected area, on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, known for its diverse marine ecosystem. Hopefully operators will be prohibited and actually refrain from feeding sharks to prevent conditioning (sharks associating boats or humans with food) and disrupting their natural behaviour.
