Spain: Online petition against megaport project which threatens Tenerife protected area

Description

The petition, run by Ecologistas en Accion, claims that the a new megaport in Fonsalia would affect protected habitats and species within the Special Area of Conservation (SAC) Marine Strip Teno-Rasca, including marine turtles, dolphins and whales, with the largest resident population of shortfin pilot whales of Europe. Over 380,000 had signed by August 21, 2021.
