In the context of the 2009 ECOCLUB.com Awards, our Member Mr. Victor M. Apaza in Honduras, had undertaken the creation of a community tourism cooperative in the community of Buenos Aires - 200 km from San Pedro Sula, Honduras (Map). The project was one of three selected for funding following a vote by the ECOCLUB.com Members in June 2009.

The project had been delayed by the extraordinary political events in Honduras, but we are pleased to report that the project has been fully completed, and the grant (Euros 993.57) paid on June 7, 2010.

Mr Apaza thanked ECOCLUB.com "in the name of the Buenos Aires Community, for financing small projects that help local people thinking on a sustainable future".
