John began his career in architecture where he worked across a range of building construction areas. He has worked in NSW and ACT(Australia) for large and small architectural firms, building companies, and in his own company, designing, building and property development. He transitioned into lecturing in the property management field at university and private business colleges. John is currently building an off-grid ecoretreat in the tropical rainforest of the Sunshine Coast hinterland Queensland, Australia. This project has temporarily taken a back seat to his current study towards a PhD investigating Ecolodges. Specifically, can the impact of an awe experience at an ecolodge elicit pro-environmental intent.

My name is Kelsey and I’m an American millennial living abroad. I’ve been living in Asia for the past 2 years and have prioritized traveling around to countries within the continent. On these trips and travels, I’ve begun noticing the impacts we as tourists, and as humans, have on the natural environment and local communities. I’ve become very interested in the environment and interested in learning how I can make better choices to empower these communities and have less of a negative impacts on our oceans, mountains and landscapes.

I have a dream to work in Ecotourism! I love to plan my trips in great detail and I enjoy the research that goes into it.

On my travels, I enjoy eating local food, exploring uncrowded areas, going on small cultural tours, being active in nature and eating local food ;)
